Astrid is passionate about education and Inclusion, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.  She joined the Governor Board as a parent governor (her daughter attends Blewbury School), then as part of the Interim Executive Board and now as a member of the IAC.

Astrid has been a secondary school teacher more than 20 years. She is currently the SEN Co and Director of Inclusion in a large 11 to 18 mainstream school in Abingdon. She has a rich pastoral background that makes her knowledgeable and very aware of the various challenges and expectations schools are constantly faced with nowadays.

A resident of Blewbury for the past 15 years, she enjoys its country life and feels that Blewbury School is at the very heart of the village community. She is quietly determined to ensure that all the pupils of the school receive high quality teaching and differentiation so they can achieve their full academic potential but also develop personal and inter-personal skills that will be robust foundations for a successful and resilient adult life.
