On Thursday morning, Roger, Audrey and Kathy of the Blewbury Historical society came to visit Goldsworthy class to support their learning about changes in the village over time.
Flynn took notes for the class during the session and has shared the following report:
Did you know – the post office has moved over 10 times since it opened!
Blewbury has been here for over 1000 years. It used to be just farmland, which were mainly orchards.
There was once a pub in the village called ‘Load of Mischief’!
The Garage has been in the village for at least 80 years, as has London Road.
It was helpful and exciting to have the visitors in. It was really interesting to learn all about our village.
